The Shetland Tool Library is a community resource of tools and equipment, enabling you to mend, maintain, make and/or experiment without the need to buy new. It will save money and resources, reduce waste and promote creativity.  

Rather than needing to buy new, the tool library provides affordable access to a wide range of tools and equipment that can be borrowed on a weekly basis. We have a big selection of items, all suitable for domestic use. For a small annual membership you can join the tool library and reserve tools for loan on a weekly basis. Just pick them up, use them drop them back the following week. We’ll do the rest. 

*When collecting your tools for the first time, please bring proof of address and photo ID with you (to confirm you are over the age of 18).
